Have a special talent & experience with children?

Art4Children is always looking for qualified teachers to teach their own classes for our after school enrichment program for k-6th. Exceptional talent in your field & experience & a love for children is required.

This is a terrific job for a student or someone who wants to work part-time and earn supplimental income. We offer exceptional hourly pay based on class enrollment.

Our sessions and camp programs are ongoing and we are always hiring new talent.

Right now, we are looking for (but not limited) the following talents/teachers:

  • Caligraphy
  • Ceramics (must have kiln)
  • Foreign Language: Spanish & French
  • Cooking class (w/out heat) ie. cake decorating
  • Babysitters course
  • Eco Art program (making art from trash)
  • Scrap booking for parents and kids
  • Choir
  • Creative Writing
  • Science experiments
  • k-2nd literacy & creative workshop (need teach cred. or equivelant educational background)

Other things to consider before applying:

  • The elementary schools that are currently running our programs are located in San Marcos & Carlsbad.
  • One-hour classes start at either 1:45, 2:45 or 3:30.
  • Ideally this would be 1 or 5 hours per week unless your classes ran longer than 1 hour.
  • Create your own curriculum!
  • Set your own rates per student!
  • North County residents are encouraged to apply.
  • High school, college students & parents with exceptional talents are welcome!
  • We do plan to expand into other districts and sites with a future "school site" of our own where contracted teachers can run classes as well.
  • Punctuality & professionalism is a must because you will be dealing directly with parents, teachers & staff.
  • You are also encouraged (but not required) to promote your classes to the schools by passing out fliers at parent nights/open houses etc.
  • If you run a great program, the children will return along with their friends.
  • You will be an independent contractor and are paid through our company and all checks you may receive from parents are payable to our company.
  • You are paid at the end of each completed session to ensure your commitment to your class.
  • Life Scan fingerprinting, independent contract signing & checked references are part of the hiring process.
